Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth

Published: October 2010
ISBN: 1426939183

The Bible is the Word of God. In Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth, author C.L. Chapman helps Christians understand and embrace the life messages and lessons contained in the Bible.

Delivering timely information, this guide is divided into two books. The first book, "On Defense," discusses how to discern the difference between sound Biblical information and erroneous misinformation. It illustrates both the errors and the intended misinformation about the Bible and its contents and demonstrates how to deal with both the misinformation and those who spread it. The second book, "Reaching Forth," explains how to glean the basic information needed to grow, mature, and profit spiritually from the Bible and its message in order to become both victorious and fruitful in the Lord.

Chapman teaches that the Bible does not need decoding; it only needs to be understood and its message embraced. It is the word of God that produces life, health, peace, victory, prosperity, deliverance, and abundant blessings for believers even in these tumultuous end-times.

About Word Of Truth

Word of Truth 101

WORD OF TRUTH 101.COM (wordoftruth101.com) proclaims the singleness of mind of the Word of God. Reports indicate that there are over 330,000 churches and 38,000 denominations in the United States!

Regardless of their disagreements, there is one topic nearly all of them have in common: They claim to preach, teach, believe and practice the Bible and its tenets.

Why are there so many churches and similar organizations?

Why cannot many of them unite in agreement on many issues of the Bible?

Whether you want to view the Bible as 66 pieces of work, 40 pieces of work, two Covenants or a single Entity, the Bible remains to be only one Book! So the problem of disagreements has to be with those who hold differing views of the message.

There is the only logical conclusion: Many people do not know how to study the Bible!

There are three areas of error: Missed Information; Misinformation, and Non-Realization of Total Dependence on the Word of God.

The missed information: It is hard to receive something you never heard of!

The misinformation: It is also hard to receive something either when you’ve been told it doesn’t exist or when you’ll get something that doesn’t exist!

All are dependant on the Word of God: Whether we realize it or not, the Word of God provides us everything we need to live! Creation came to be by the Word of God!

Furthermore, the Word of God has things to say about man in general. It says things about believers. It also speaks directly to believers. And it speaks to you if you will allow it!

Here is the problem: The vast majority of practicing, church-going Christians know so little about the promises found in the Bible that they can base neither their simplest declarations of faith nor their most urgent prayers on the Scriptures.

The Lord said, “Put Me in remembrance; let us plead together; declare you so that you may be justified.”

So the challenge comes from God for you to remind Him of His promises. But if you do not know what blessings you may be missing, or if you have been misled, how can you remind Him of them?

You need to study the Bible for yourself! We are presenting this new type of “How-to” Bible-study book that shows you how you may make up your own mind regarding what the Bible says.

Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth, Book 1: On Defense—Decloaking Cults, Cultists and False Teachings, Book 2: Reaching Forth—Becoming Fruitful and Victorious in Christ has information for every believer, as well as those who don’t want to be led astray by false doctrines!

The Author

As a child, C. L. Chapman joined a church believing that by joining that church he would automatically go to heaven when he died. A couple of years later he met the Lord in a different church. Because the Lord moved strongly in this church, C. L. was convinced this church had a firm grip in the whole of God's Truth. After about ten years he found out otherwise!

He found out that many churches embrace erroneous doctrines and that some of the most widely accepted Bible doctrines are not Scriptural at all and some are not even logical!

He began to see many doctrinal differences as cases of people simply not knowing what the Bible said in its totality. Many people take what one Scripture says as an absolute truth without regard to what other Scriptures may say about the same topic. Everyone knows the Bible does not contradict itself, but many Bible-believing, God-loving Christians contradict themselves frequently! How? Why?

Many times C. L. had to alter his own doctrinal views to match what the Word said. He began to document the various arguments, and he found some common patterns of error.

He saw common-sense abandoned when it came to Bible-study! He saw emotionalism, wild imaginations, unhinged ignorance, pig-headedness and pure egotism behind the propagated errors! He also saw evil design behind some of those errors!

Some doctrines have little effect on a person's life or relationship with the Lord; but many others do. Some people handle every doctrine as if their whole existence depends on it. The confusion, doubt, irritation and anger caused by mishandling of Scriptures serve to more of the same.

After several years of documenting and organizing, he wrote the book Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth. It challenges cults, cultish churches, tradition, biblical ignorance and religious egotism head-on, no holds barred!

In order to succeed with the Lord, a believer must first be rid of Bible ignorance, the ignorance that the churches ignore and the cults exploit. That effort may require re-learning! After that, believers need to find Bible Truths that will set them free, answer their prayers and their questions, promote their growth and allow them to flourish in the Lord and their relationship with Him. Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth shows how to accomplish these goals.
